Single Mother's Hours Decreased Due to Lack of Childcare, Help Keep Electric On
My Story:
I am a mom who is also single. I have two adult children and one 7 year old son. He loves his older siblings. He loves cars, trucks, action figures, and sports. I work as a sales associate and I enjoy reading, cooking and spending time with family.
Due to circumstances beyond my control, I had to take less hours at work to ensure my son got to and from school daily. My oldest son lived with me previously and had helped me with transporting to school. He no longer lives with me and I had to cut back at work to get him to school on time, daily. I went from working 40 hours a week to 20 - 28 hours a week. I would pick up shifts when I could, but the shorter hours really hurt my paycheck, which in turn is making it extremely hard to stay caught up on bills. I have no savings and no other financial help. My son's father promised he would help with his back to school needs, but he did not keep his word. My oldest son is in jail so I try to help him and my grandson as much as possible. I need Modest Needs help with my electric bill.
Any kind of help would be a blessing and greatly appreciated. This would enable me to get all my bills caught up. I have recently found a babysitter who can help get my son from school, and my hours are already set to increase on the upcoming schedule. With the funding and more hours, I should be able to gain my footing and start trying to save up for hard times.
