Testimonial

This person has left the following thank you note:

Dear Modest Needs Donors, Words cannot express my gratitude to you all. I first would like to say thank you for your contribution and helping me out in this rough time of my life. I am so appreciative and even though I don't know who you all are, I do know that you all are good, kind, and helpful people. To give to someone that you don't even know tells me who you all are. I know saying thank you isn't enough so I know I have to pay it forward to someone else who is in need. I pray that you all are blessed beyond your imagination and walk in an abundance of favor over your lives. I will forever be grateful and remember this time in my life where strangers reminded me that there are still good people in this world. Thank you so much, Risha

Single Hardworking Woman Needs to Catch Up After Job Gap

My Story:

I am a single 28 year old woman who has been on my own for 6 years. I have been working since I was 14 years old and have wanted nothing more than to sustain and have my independence. I have always done my best to keep up with my bills and pay them on time. I now feel bad that I have not been able to do that recently because of my lack of funds. I work as an environmental technician for a hospital which I am thankful for but does not bring in much money.

Last summer I was laid off from my job that I had been at for 4years. I went on unemployment which was not much at all and worked temp jobs to pay my bills; but unfortunately I still fell behind on my rent and car note. I don't have friends or family that can help me out of this situation so I have been asking church's and places that can help for assistance but have had no success. I am employed now but cannot catch up without assistance. I have to have my rent paid in full by the end of October or I'll be evicted.

This will allow me to be caught up and get reduced rent since my rent can be based on my new income. This funding will bring me current on my rent and bring me peace of mind knowing I can start fresh with my landlord and not have to worry about being evicted or taking out a high interest loan. I will be able to have my rent reduced which means I can start to pay an amount that is suitable for the income that I have. I won't have to stress and when I remember who helped me I will think of modest needs and how you all were the light in a dark time for me. I will give and pour back into modest needs just as you all poured into me.
