My Daughter's School Supplies Put Us Behind on Rent. Without Help We'll Be Homeless by Next Week.

My Story:

I am single mother of an 11 year old daughter. She is currently in 6th grade, loves drawing and animation and she is learning how to play the violin in orchestra class. After being unemployed for a very long time, I'm very proud that I recently started working full time as a secretary. I do everything I can to provide for my daughter and myself, but we're still catching up from my being out of work, and we are barely getting by.

This year, my daughter started middle school, and back in August, we got the list of supplies we have to send to school with our children. I just didn't realize how much school supplies would cost for a middle schooler, and I just didn't have the money to buy her supplies, but she couldn't go to school without them. So I used some of our rent money for September to buy her supplies. I was hoping I could catch up, but I'm still behind. Last week, he took us to court, and the court gave him an eviction notice. If I can't pay this past due rent this week, we'll lose this apartment, and I don't have enough saved to get another one.

I want my daughter to have a better life than I did and I'm doing everything I can to help her and provide for us. If we become homeless, I'm afraid that she won't do well in school and that will affect her for the rest of her life. So I'm hoping you'll please help us to catch up on our rent, if not for me, then for my daughter. She deserves the best chance at this life she can get because life is already had enough without being homeless. If anyone could help I would truly be forever grateful. Thank you.
