Lost My Husband of 32 years, Don't Let me Lose My Home Too

My Story:

It was just my husband and I living in our apartment. Our kids are full grown and live away from me. I just lost my husband a few months ago and have gone from 2 incomes to 1. I am having a very hard time adjusting and keeping everything paid. I work full time as a medical assistant, which I love and didn't get my degree until my kids were full grown and out on their own. I still have loans that need paid every month also from going back to school in 2012.

I have no savings and am living paycheck to paycheck and cannot even afford groceries. I missed time at work a few months ago when my husband was in the hospital for 2.5 months. This really caused me to fall behind and I just cannot get caught up. i need your help with my rental payment his month.

This is my largest expense and with your help I will not longer have to decide if the rent gets paid or if I put food on table, gas in my car to get back and forth to work, or the lights stay on. If my rent goes unpaid I will be evicted and have no place to go. I am not used to this situation, since my husband and I have always made sure the rent was paid on time, usually early, so this is very hard for me. It is even harder since I do not have my husband by my side. I miss him terribly and this financial situation just puts a lot more strain on me.
