This person has left the following thank you note:

First, thank you for taking the time to read about our situation. I am beyond words that you not only read about our situation, but you also chose to help us into a better one. We have worked so hard to get where we are and make a better life for our children, and you just moved us one step closer to our dreams. It may seem small, but you changed the course of our lives in a big way! We are now able to start a savings account and are successfully current on all our Bill's. We couldn't have done it without you! Thank you!!!

Summer Child Care Caused Negative Budget, Help Hardworking Family Catch Up

My Story:

I am a married mom of two awesome boys who are 10 & 11 years old. My 10 yr old is full of energy, loves sports, skateboarding, and video games. My 11 yr old is my little nerd, and enjoys doing dungeons and dragons campaigns, and playing trumpet, piano, and guitar. They are totally different - but I got the best of both worlds and couldn't be prouder!

I recently earned my bachelors degree in design and have been working full time in my field, and together, my husband and I make just enough to cover our monthly expenses. So when summer hit, we had no childcare and began looking for cost effective solutions. Child care in San Diego would have costed 200.00 per week per child and because of that the least expensive option we had was to send each child to stay with family for the time we did not have affordable care. The plane tickets were more cost effective - but still put us behind as they were not part of the budget. We need your help with our auto insurance.

The assistance will catch us up as well as help us put into place a savings plan which I have been working on starting. We need to be caught up so I can put it into effect. I have signed up as a freelancer, a dog walker/sitter, and even signed up to help teach foreign children to speak and write English in my free time to help with building the savings account. My main priority has always been to be financially independent, and with my degree - new job, and new opportunities, I feel we are well on our way to getting there. I just need a 'jump start' so to speak. Your help would mean the world to us, thank you so so much.
