My Hours Were Temporarily Cut & I Lost 40 Hours of Work. My Daughter and I Are About to be Evicted!

My Story:

I am a single parent living with my 7 year old daughter who is very outgoing and loves to play soccer. I work full time as a customer service representative at a call center. I earn enough to pay for our monthly needs, but we do live paycheck to paycheck, and I don't make enough money to save or pay for anything extra at all.

This summer, things got slow at my job, and my hours were temporarily cut short. Over about a month, I lost around 40 hours pay. For us, losing a week's pay is devastating because we're already barely getting by. I ended up behind on nearly all of my bills and had to struggle just to lights on and gas in my car so I could get to work.

I finally have managed to get most everything caught up which is a miracle, but I'm still behind on my rent. I just got an eviction notice, and I only have a week to come up with our past due rent. I just don't have the money, so without help, in just a few days, me and my daughter will be homeless. Nothing like this has EVER happened to me before, and I'm really afraid. I don't know what I'm going to do.

I've just gotten a better job that pays more. I start that next month, and things are really looking up for me & my daughter. If I'm homeless, though, I probably won't be able to take that job, and I'll end up right back where I started. I'm hoping you can please, please help me to catch up my rent. This funding will bring our household current and bring about peace of mind, knowing that I can provide for my daughter. It will also show my daughter that helping people in their time of needs always makes a difference in their life no matter how big or small.
