Parents of 8 Need Help With Daycare Costs After Job Loss

My Story:

I am a married mother of eight. I have 6 amazing boys and 2 wonderful girls. Currently only 4 of them live at home with my husband and I. Our older two have moved out and two of our boys live in Austin, TX with their mom. At home we have 17 and 16 year old sons, and our two babies 5 and 1. I currently work for one of the major hospital systems in Houston, TX. My husband just started training for a new position. We spend most of our days in the house. I love to read, my husband loves to cook, and of course the kids love their tablets and video games.

I am currently the only income in the home and things have gotten really tight. My husband lost his job back in January, but we were able to stay a float with his unemployment. In May his payments stopped and everything went down hill. We have lost his truck and we don't have cell phones because we cant afford the bills. I am mentally exhausted. On top of everything else we owe the daycare. They have been really understanding and allowing us to make it these past few months, but they are now unable to keep letting the bill add up. We need Modest Needs to help us pay the daycare so that I can continue to go to work and my husband can continue to go to training for his new job. Daycare will allow us to keep pushing forward so that we can get the rest of the bills paid and back on track. Losing daycare would be devastating to our family at this point and force one of us to quit working, which will hurt us further.

Helping us out with this bill will allow us to keep going to work so that we can get back on stable financial ground. Paying this bill will give us peace of mind and alleviate the worry of who will care for our children while we work. It will help us lighten our burdens and help us put a substantial dent in our current debt.
