Our AC is Clogged With a Previous Tenant's Dog Hair. My Daughter & New Baby Can't Breathe. Help!
My Story:
I am an army veteran, working full time for the VA in a pain management whole health clinic. My wife is and a work from home mom as an editor and blogger. I have a 3 year old daughter with special needs. She has partial T18 and is G-Tube fed. She is beating all the odds and doing excellently. She is learning to walk and is eating more on her own. I'm also the proud father of a brand new baby that has just come home from the hospital.
Like a lot of people, we rent our home, and I make just enough to scrape by from one check to the next. We have gotten rid of all extra expenses except internet, but we still don't have much money left at the end of every month. We got lucky and found a GREAT price on a house near my job, but the previous residents of this house had giant dogs whose fur is in all the ducts. My daughter is highly allergic to pets and if we turn on the AC it will cause her to start vomiting and probably put her back in the hospital. And our new baby is already starting to show signs of allergies, like coughing and sneezing a lot more than a new child should.
Our lease provides that we have to pay for maintenance on the house we rent, which is part of why it's so cheap. It doesn't cost much to remove this dog hair from the AC, but it's more than we have, and we have to get this done now for my childrens' sake.
So would you be able to help us with the cost of getting our AC cleaned out? If you would, you'd be helping my whole family, but especially my kids. I feel guilty that I can't pay for this myself, but I know things will be better soon. I finally have a good job for the first time since I left the Army 10 years ago, and we are on track to building a better life for our family. Your help will allow us to continue and we would be so grateful.
