Dear Modest Needs Donors, I began this process over 2 months ago without any certainty if my request was going to be view much less met. For the past few weeks I have watch the boards and prayed everyday that folks like you would help me and my boys maintain stability. I want to share with you how GOD works and how he worked in my situation. Even though I was in emotional and finacial stress, my son kept doubting that miracles happen. He is 10 years old and we attend church regularly. This concerned me that he was losing faith and to be honest, so was I. This past week he learned the Golden Rule in Sunday School. Do unto others.. He was telling all about it as we went for our weekly Sunday cheeseburger at McDonalds. As we pulled into the parking lot, he had save his allowance this week for the happy meal with toy. As we walked to the door, he saw a man down on his luck and looked hungry. My son bought the happy meal but took it outside to the stranger and handed it to him along with the toy. I asked him why he did this and he told me I was doing to someone else what I hope someone else will do for us to stay in our house and my school with my friends. I'm not going to lie, even being a former Marine, I cried and gave him the biggest hug I could. My 10 year old restored my faith that someone would help and your donations came through at the perfect time to be claimed as my miracle. I am hoping that I can do my part once I am back on my feet to pay this forward to someone on this site that needs help so their world doesn't get turned up-side down. Thank you so much for your help and thoughtfulness here! You not only helped me restore faith in my family, but helped me with a very interpersonal struggle I was having. God Bless all who helped me! I don't know that words will ever tell the truth of what you have done for me and my two boys!
My Wife Abandoned Our Family & Left Me to Care for Our Kids By Myself. We Need EMERGENCY Rent Help!
My Story:
I am a newly single dad of a 10 year old boy who loves playing football and has been on the honor roll for 4th grade every quarter this year. I also have a 2 month old baby boy. I work full time in IT and am the sole provider for those two wonderful joys of my life. Returning to the work force and unexpected loss of the 2nd income left me short to pay rent for one month. We are a positive family non the less but could truly appreciate some help this month so we don't get served with eviction.
My wife walked out on us and returned to her home town as she did not want to be involved with our children anymore. This has left me to be both dad and mom- trying to get my 10 year old counseling as well as caring for a new baby, working, coaching sports team for the my community is a lot to say the least. I am respectfully requesting Modest Needs help for the rent while I get my budget back on track.
As I have just returned to work after being laid off for 2 months, this assistance will help me get caught up on all my bills and help me and my boys get through this time of crisis without mom in the picture. As I get back on my feet, my prayer is to be able to assist others as this has opened my eyes to how everything can be taken from you in less than a blink of an eye. Thank you so much.
