This person has left the following thank you note:

User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeWords can't describe how thankful and appreciative my family and I feel to read that our request for assistance has been fulfilled. My husband, kids and I are so forever thankful for your generosity. God knows how hard it's been for us but he also knows how faithful and spiritual we are. We pray for each and every donor who has given us an opportunity to be able to enjoy going outside, getting into out vehicle and getting out AC fixed. Its been 100+ degrees here in Florida and not being able to leave the house because our only vehicle has no AC. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and we will definitely be paying it forward when we can.

Wounded Combat Vet Needs Help to Repair the Family's Only Car So I Can Keep?Seeing My?Doctor!

My Story:

I am a married mother of three kids, 2 step-sons and 1 daughter of my own. My daughter is 7 going on 17. My 13 year old stepson wants to be a gamer and my 11 year old is autistic but doesn't let that stop him. My husband is my caregiver. I served the army for 7 years and deployed twice. I am a combat wounded survivor. We also have 2 service dogs, Diamond and Boomer.

We are living off of my VA benefits as my husband is my caregiver; he's also looking for work. I have VA appointments every week, and my husband needs the car to get to job interviews and then, hopefully, his new job. But our car needs MAJOR repairs, and we just can't afford to have them done. We took the shop gave us a quote and is only charging us 50% labor for me being a veteran but its only good for 30 days. We cannot afford this even with the discount, and without these repairs, our car is practically useless.

We're already stretched on our small budget, and we can't afford to keep paying for taxis and ubers to get to medical appointments. So we're asking for your help to fix our car. If we can just get these repairs done, we won't have to pay other people to take us all over town, and we'll be able to continue to live on my benefits until my husband finds the work he's looking for. Thank you very much for your help!
