Veteran Mother Needs Lights On After Car Trouble
My Story:
I am a single mother of one beautiful little girl. She is 11 years old. She loves playing outside with bubbles and going to the park. I work full-time as an executive administrative secretary.
I earn enough to get by each month, but as a sole provider for us, it is really hard to separate funds for emergencies. On my way to work my car died, and I had to replace the battery and the alternator. In the same week I blew out a tire due to construction on the road. I am struggling to keep my head above water. If I don't keep the lights on I could get evicted and my daughter would suffer as we have nowhere to go. My daughter and I need Modest Needs' help to pay the electric bill, which is late due to car repairs. I was forced to choose between paying the electric bill or repairing the only source of transportation I have in order to keep my job. I am worried I could get evicted if I don't pay this bill or my lights will get cut off.
This funding would bring my household current on bills again and restore me some peace of mind. I will soon be receiving child support and I will be able to start saving again in the event something like this were to happen again. Your help would make a huge impact on our lives and help teach my daughter that even though the world can be cruel, there are still good people out there and that it is important to help people when you can.
