Family Needs Rental Help Due to Single Mom's Heart Attack & Deteriorating Health
My Story:
I am a 41-year-old married mother of 2 amazing young men. Prior to my emergency health crisis, I was an active mother, wife, friend and co-worker. My boys are very loving and caring young men. They enjoy staying busy and love the outdoors, especially the beach. My oldest is pursuing his Bachelors degree and my baby is set to start college in the fall. My husband works full time and since my extremely unexpected health issues, he acts as mom and dad. I hope and pray every day that I will be able to go back to being the caretaker instead of having to be taken care of.
First, I had a heart attack that required a heart stent. On my 40th birthday, I had a complete heart block that required a pacemaker. I was hospitalized again and my health continued to get worse. I was transferred to another hospital and shortly after arriving it was determined that I had 90% regurgitation in my Aortic Valve and required emergency open heart surgery. After the surgery was completed, they had to go back in because they accidentally punctured my lung, resulting in a partially collapsed lung. The doctors have tried many different treatments but my health has continued to deteriorate, and I am bedridden most of the time. We live on a very tight budget with all the medical bills. This affected us terribly and set us back financially. We need the help of Modest Needs to cover our rent so we can avoid eviction.
This funding would allow us to get back on track with our budgeted spending. My husband is applying for a 2nd job which will help to supplement our income. Between funding and a 2nd job we would be back on track and able to focus on my healthcare. Thank you kind people.
