User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeI don't know how to make you folks understand how much your help means to me. I depend on my car more then anything that I have. I don't like asking for help from anyone but I just exhausted all avenues. I could very well have lost my car were it not for your help. My faith has been restored in people and there kindness. God bless everyone who helped me. I will be able to get to my appointments such as VA health care and PTSD counseling. My youngest son lives in Eugene,Or. and he has cancer. Because of your kindness I will be able to continue to visit him . I just can't thank you enough. I will donate as much as possible to Modest needs in the future.

Please Help Widowed Veteran Repair His Car

My Story:

I've been widowed for several years and I have four adult children. I am a disabled Veteran and I receive a military disability pension. After I pay my bills there is very little left so when I have an emergency like car repairs it makes it almost impossible. I am diabetic so I work out every day, and try to stay as healthy as possible.

After paying my monthly expenses, I am left with a little for food and gas, so every month I am just getting by. My car is very important to me. I make a lot of trips to the V.A. hospital during the month and also I go to counseling once per week. I would give anything to go back to work but I don't think you want me to list all my medical issues, especially after my heart attack. I really need your help with my vehicle repair.

I'm sorry to have to ask for help but it is my last resort. I would be happy to pay it back eventually, but right now your assistance would lift a huge strain off of my shoulders. I would be able to get to my appointments and focus on remaining healthy. I go over to Oregon as often as I can afford it to see my kids but without my car I won't be able to go anymore. I'm supposed to start working with meals on wheels as a volunteer, I don't know what else I can say other then I desperately need my car. Thank you.
