My heartfelt gratitude to each and every one who has helped us in a time of need. You have given us HOPE-a most precious gift in these hard times. Now we will be able to stand on our own two feet again, after such a long period of struggling and wondering what we will not be able to pay, will we lose our car or house, and will we be able to pay for the additional medical help needed. Knowing that none of us really have any 'extra' money makes it all the more precious! We have made a pact that when we are on our feet again (financially and healthy), not only will we resume helping our family members in need but we will visit Modest Needs to help others. Couple Needs Help With Outstanding Medical Bills
My Story:
My husband and I both worked full time until he lost his job. I work with people with disabilities and my husband worked in warehouses as a stocker/inventory clerk but now has a seasonal job at a landscaping company. We pay all our bills on time, save when we can, and try to assist my sister as she is disabled and has no income.
This is the first time in my life I have had to ask for assistance!. My husband lost his job and his unemployment stopped before he found a seasonal position. He also got injured on the job at the same time I got very sick. We took from his little pension as we had to roll it over. We had some savings that we drew off on to help cover expenses for a time when his unemployment ran out but we were also hit with a huge car repair bill. I am asking for assistance with an outstanding medical bill that we cannot find the extra funds to pay right now.
I do not want to lose our home if I can't make all the payments. We have tightened our belts to stretch each dollar but I just can't keep up with any extra bills. I'm also afraid I may have more medical expenses in the future. This funding would bring our expenses back to normal and allow us to begin saving for more anticipated medical bills and/or the next emergency. Your help will ensure that I can get the medical attention needed as my bills will be current. This would make all the difference in getting us back on our feet and self sufficient again, as well as able to afford to assist my sister again.
