I Just Escaped My Abusive Partner; Unexcpectedly Single Mom Needs Help with Rent.
My Story:
I am a recently single mom escaping my abusive ex of 15 years. I have a daughter who is 10 and she is my whole world. She loves art, video games and animals (especially dinosaurs). She aspires to be either a veterinarian, archaeologist, or a game designer. We have two tuxedo cats named Loki and Meowie-Zowie and a dog named Sadie Kane.
I fled my home with my ex in September after his abuse escalated to threats of violence. I barely had enough money to move us and we were living check to check, but getting by. That was until I lost my job a week before Christmas. It took nearly a month for me to find a place that was hiring after that, but I did and I'm working to get caught up. Unfortunately I do not make enough at the new job to cover the money I lost when I lost my job. I need your help with our rent.
Without help we could lose our home and be forced to move back in with my ex or into a shelter. The late fees are incredibly high here. By covering our rent I will be able to focus on finding a better paying job and will have the time and energy to spend with my daughter again. We will finally be stable and free from my ex.
