Married Couple of 4 Needs Help After Insurance Lapse and Sickness
My Story:
I am a married mother of four children, a 14 year old boy, 10 year old girl, 9 year old girl and 4 year old girl. We are very blessed that our children get along very well. They prefer to be together playing in the woods over joining clubs or sports. They are incredibly kind and generous to others, even recently stopping in our neighborhood to help a very injured dog. I work full time as a nurse and my husband works in retail.
This year we lost our health insurance due to a job change. During the waiting period before we could get on my new employer's insurance myself and three of my children contracted Influenza A. I had to miss work to care for my little ones, and pay for all of our medical care out of pocket. We'd used our savings to move across the country for my new job, having gotten flu shots every year we never expected to contract a strain of the flu that wasn't covered by the flu shot. We did, and now the unexpected cost have put us in a concerning financial situation. We need Modest Needs' help to pay our phone bill this month.
I am so used to being the one helping those with the flu, not being the person needing help. But I am swallowing my pride and humbly asking for help. This funding will get us caught up on our bills. Your contribution would make a lasting impact on our community, we are a family of faith and active participants in our local inter-faith homeless shelter. We would love to show those men and women that hard work and faithfulness is rewarded, and to never lose faith in the kindness of others.
