Unpaid Maternity Leave, Help Soon to be Mother With Rent

My Story:

I am 30 years old and about to be a single mother. I rent a small one bedroom duplex here in Tucson Arizona. I do have a full-time job as a supervisor of a restaurant where I work very hard to support myself. I am currently single and I have no family support to speak of. I am expecting to give birth in April.

I am six months pregnant, I don't know if it's a boy or a girl yet but I'm just excited to be having the baby. The unexpected hardship that I am going through is that I must take time off to recuperate from delivery but it will be unpaid. The only thing that is worrisome is that all that time I choose to take off to arrange these important matters is going to be unpaid because my job does not offer paid maternity leave or any paid time off. I have been saving but with the baby coming so soon I will need rent help. I'm afraid of falling behind and becoming homeless with a newborn.

I love there are people to help and support others in need, people that go through hardships no matter how hard they try and do the right thing...people like myself. I really appreciate you guys and just the kindness that radiates from you. I just wanted to say thank you guys for even giving me the opportunity to be here and reach out to you guys. If my little one was already born I'm pretty sure he/she would say thank you all so much. Your assistance would mean the world to me and set my little family up for success.
