Testimonial

This person has left the following thank you note:

I would like to thank each and every person who helped us and donated to fund our request. You have no idea how much this helps our family out. You have lifted a huge burden that I had no idea how I was going to pay. It is hard to believe that complete strangers are willing to help out those in need. I plan on paying this forward just as soon as I am able to. Again, thank you and bless you all.

Sick Child Needed Emergency Surgery; Please Help Single Mother With Medical Bill

My Story:

I am a single mother of two wonderful daughters. Both are going to a local community college and still live at home. It is cheaper this way compared to paying for on campus living. I work full time as a Medical Assistant. My mother also lives with us. This really helps us all out. She doesn't have the money to live on her own but she can be at home to take care of the girls. She fixes meals and makes sure they get what they need when I'm not there.

We live paycheck to paycheck, my paycheck. The girls are full time students and do not work. My mother cannot work either due to a knee and back injury from years ago. My youngest daughter, 19, began having abdominal pain approximately three months ago. The doctors could not figure it out at first. They did all kinds of blood tests and tried medicines. When that wasn't successful we had an ultrasound done. This wasn't much help, so we had a HIDA scan done. This showed the gallbladder may be the problem. The surgeon wanted to wait and do more testing with a GI doctor. However, two days later my daughter was in such pain that we had to do the surgery right then and there. The gallbladder came out, and my daughter feels 100% better, but I am stuck with a high bill that I cannot pay without your help.

I have insurance for my daughters, but the hospital bill after insurance paid their part is still very expensive. Funding this unexpected hospital bill with help us out tremendously. It will also help my daughter to feel better, emotionally. She knows the bill is expensive and she feels guilty about it. Your help will make a long-lasting impact on our family and is truly appreciated.
