This person has left the following thank you note:

User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeThanks to everyone who helped my daughter and I during our time of need. We are beyond grateful. When you're going through hard times it seems as if your world is falling a part and nothings seem to fall in your favor, but this blessing has definitely shed some light in our world and couldn't have came at a better time. We will be able to catch up on bills, get our lives back on track and have a peace of mind. I always tell my daughter when you do good, good will follow you, and always try to help someone when you can. You never know who might have to help you someday. Thanks to Modest Needs and everyone who donated this has been a great example of what I try to instill in her. I pray things continue to get better for us from here and one day we will be able to donate and help someone in need as well. I also pray that everyone who donated receives blessings back tenfold in unexpected ways. Words can not express how thankful I truly am, but once again thanks to each and every one of you.

Single Mother, Veteran and Domestic Abuse Survivor Needs URGENT Help with Rent

My Story:

I am a Veteran and mother who recently left an abusive relationship. I have a beautiful 12 year old daughter who loves volleyball and track. She recently made the basketball team for her JR High School. I enjoy doing arts and crafts and DIY projects. I recently started a t shirt business to help make ends meet. We also have a 9 pound little dog named Missy who thinks she's the boss of the house.

I recently separated from an abusive relationship, and had to start from scratch to replace things that were lost from the fights and physical abuse. Money was already tight during that time. I also began to have car trouble and had to replace the water pump and the fuel pump within weeks of each other, which caused me to fall even more behind. After Christmas I replaced the alternator. My car has been giving us a lot of trouble but it is our only means of transportation. We are asking Modest Needs to help with one months rent.

I don't have family in Dallas or anyone I could turn to. I'm afraid of facing eviction and becoming homeless. Your help will allow me to catch up on bills and give me a peace of mind. It would allow me to finally began to try to get my life back on track. I try hard to keep my financial situation away from my daughter but she's aware of whats going on and it has caused stress on her as well. Receiving the help would be an inspiration. We always talk about being successful and helping other people who may be in our situation. I would use this to remind my daughter to always keep the faith and no matter what happens in life keep pushing forward.
