Student and Former Foster Struggling With Rent After Lay off
My Story:
I am a single woman who was raised in the foster care system. I have no family, no husband and no children. I was born and raised in San Diego, CA and I am just trying to better myself and survive. I am hopefully transferring to UC-San Diego in Fall to obtain a bachelors degree in Sociology law & Society. I recently was laid off from a non-profit organization I was working for but am currently in the hiring process to start a full-time job elsewhere.
My old job was eliminated due to budget cuts. Because of this I am extremely short on January 2019's rent and do not qualify for any temporary loans. I don't have family that can help nor are any of my friends able to financially help. Please help me. I have been homeless too often and worked so hard to be where I am today with a roof of my own. I am fearful that I will lose my home which I have been living in for almost 2 years.
This funding will help me keep my home as well as continue my educational and career path. Your assistance will also help me maintain my mental health as well. the stress of knowing you might be homeless again is the worst feeling. Thank you so much in advance.
