I have been stressing and stressing because I knew that another cut off notice for the electricity bill would soon be coming. And then I clicked on the site to check my status and when I saw the word FUNDED, my heart was touched and my stress began melting away! Thank you all so very much!! These two little words can't even really express how good it is to know that there are selfless people out in today's world that will be so kind and generous. My children needed to see this kind of unselfish act to still believe that compassion does exist. Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts! Unexpected Car Repair, Parents of 2 Need Help With Electric Bill
My Story:
I am a married mother of 2 teenage children, a boy and a girl. My husband and I have been together for 26 years, and both work at a local convenience store in our small town. We enjoy hunting, fishing, gardening, and rock/arrowhead hunting. We also love our pet cats.
My husband works full time while I work part time. We have no benefits, no savings, and live paycheck to paycheck. We won't even be celebrating the holidays this year. A couple of weeks ago, both of our vehicles broke down. We had to get 1 of them up and running so we could continue to get to work and the kids to school. Now we are struggling to pay our electric bill. We can survive with one car, but we need our electricity to have a safe home environment for our family. We need Modest Needs help with this bill.
By getting this funding a HUGE amount of stress will be lifted from my family. Our teenage children see us struggling and stressed all the time which then affects their lives as well. Your help will get us current with our bills. After the first of the year I will be looking into doing some substituting at our school as a possible supplement to my income. I hope that this will also help our children see the importance of education and getting a good paying career after high school.
