Car Damage and Income Loss Caused This Single Mother to be Short on Rent
My Story:
I am a divorced mother of 2 very awesome boys that are 13 and 11. My 11 year old son plays the saxophone and enjoys gaming and playing basketball. My 13 year old son loves media and production and is involved in theater. I just started a new full time job as a claims examiner 3 months ago. Before that I was working as an enrollment coordinator for CVS health. I was attempting to work for Uber eats for extra income until medicine that I had just picked up from the pharmacy was stollen out of my car on a trip, so I no longer feel safe doing so.
As a single mother I work paycheck to paycheck. I do have a child support case that I receive funds from but it is not consistent at all. In February my car was totaled due to my apartment parking lot flooding after heavy rain and the city releasing water from a nearby lake. I had no savings to purchase a new car and my insurance took much longer than normal to process my claim which meant I had to pay out of pocket for a rental car to get to work. I also had to pay a down payment for a new car. This along with a job change and pay gap has left me struggling. I need Modest Needs help with my rent.
Without assistance, I will have to pay late fees which will cause a domino affect financially. Your help will allow me to be able to stay current on my bills and not get behind an entire month on my rent. This funding would truly be the biggest blessing to my family. Thank you.
