US Army Vet and Single Mother of 3 Needs Help With Dental Bill
My Story:
I am a US Army veteran and single mother of 3 kids. My oldest is my 14 year old daughter who is a freshman in high school and plays the violin. My son is the middle child who is 11 years old, on the honor roll and plays the trumpet. My youngest is my 7 year old daughter who loves to sing, dance, and yoga. I am a Purchasing Agent at the VAMC in Houston, Texas.
July 2018 was my last day of work with my last employer. In September I was rear ended by an 18-wheeled vehicle and my car was totaled. Although I was approved to receive unemployment payments, I have had to incur extra expenses such as paying for a rental car to get to job interviews, job fairs and keep up with usual household expenses and kid transportation. I started a new job in October, but I am finding it difficult to catch up. I am managing my expenses as best as I can. I have no savings set aside, and now have a large dental bill that I need Modest Needs help with.
This help will give me the ability to catch up on the expenses incurred during my unemployment and because of my car accident. My current income will bring my household current with my other expenses. Personally, I know the stress of having to maintain a tight household budget is difficult to manage over long periods of time. I would prefer to avoid to added stress of not knowing exactly how I am going to recover from these setbacks, or late fees. Having this bill taken care of will finally free up my budget to get fully caught up.
