Single Mother Needs Help to Keep Lights on After Heating Repair
My Story:
I am a single parent of 2 children. My 19 year old is in college and my 7 year old is in 1st grade. My 7 year old was diagnosed with Juvenile Arthritis a year ago and Autism in July 2018. I am employed full time working for the state child care program. My family is my world and I would do anything for them, but asking for help is the hardest thing I have had to do, especially when I try to be independent in taking care of my family.
I work hard to take care of my family, but we live paycheck to paycheck. Last year our heating system went out and I had to pull together $600 to get it fixed, which put an enormous strain on my already tight budget. I had to put off paying bills in order to get the needed repairs because it was winter time. In the process my son got pneumonia which was such a threat to his Arthritis. As a result, I have been trying get back on track with my bills, but can't seem to get there. My electric bill has a disconnect notice and I need your help in paying it.
I am worried that we will be without water and electricity, and since we are totally electric that means we would have no hot water, lights, ability to cook or anything else. I work remotely from home and no electricity would mean, no internet and no work for me, which would just further this downward spiral. Your help would literally save my family. The funding will bring our bills current and assist with getting some relief from financial stress and worrying, and allow me to focus more of my attention on caring for my son and his growing and changing needs.
