Pastor's Family Needs Help With Medical Bill
My Story:
I am a married mother with two active children, our girl is 9 and our boy is 4. My husband is a pastor and I teach a class of three-year-olds at our church preschool. We also have a miniature dachshund named Napoleon. We live in a small rural community and do not have family close by, so the people here have become like family. Both children have a great group of friends from school and church, and we enjoy spending time together as a family.
We earn enough to be able to pay for basic expenses, but we are still living paycheck to paycheck. Therefore, we are not able to get ahead and put money into savings. This summer, I unexpectedly ended up in the ER and we have been struggling to pay our bills because of the money we owe to the hospital. We need Modest Needs' help to pay for the hospital bill, which is one month late. We are unable to make this payment because we need our paycheck to pay for our utilities and groceries.
We are worried about not being able to provide for our children as well as this bill going to collections for nonpayment. It was due October 7. The funding will help bring us up to current with our expenses, and hopefully, allow us to start putting away money for emergency savings. We believe strongly in Dave Ramsey's financial peace structure and would like to be able to follow his plan. In doing so it would allow us to have peace of mind as well as living what we teach others.
