Single Mother Needs Rental Help After Moving and Car Broke Down
My Story:
I am a single mother of a ten year old son who is full of energy and adventure. I work full time with the department of treasury. We recently moved from Illinois to Maryland to escape a toxic environment, but in doing so, I've depleted my savings and am struggle to make ends meet.
I'm trying really hard to keep from drowning, but we're barely making it. To add to our situation, my car unexpectedly broke down while I was on my way to pick up my son from childcare. The repairs cost me close to $800 and then I was slapped with a $200 fee for picking my son up late which was a direct result of breaking down on the highway. I'm now facing eviction. Please help me catch up with my rental payment.
This funding would be an absolute blessing. It would help us regain stability and prevent us from being homeless. In the meantime, I am actively looking for a second job or another way to help end the struggle between paychecks and unexpected expenses.
