This person has left the following thank you note:
I am writing to give most sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to and help fund my grant. I am overwhelmed by your generosity. It is massive relief to be free of worry about the ER medical bill that had been hanging over my head for over 6 months. My anxiety has lessened and my blood pressure numbers are down to a normal range. But, best of all knowing there are still such good people are still out there, that kindness still exists in this volatile time, in this turbulent world, is such a compelling reaffirmation of hope. Thank you all so very much.
I Have an ER Bill I Can't Pay on My Teacher's Salary. Can You Please Help Me?
I am a single women living along and working full time to support myself. I am a teacher and have taught for 10 years. I have worked primarily in schools with a large population of economically disadvantaged children. Most months my income barely covers my basic bills and some months it doesn't even cover all those.
Last May 2017, I began to have sudden spikes in my blood pressure. I had been on blood pressure medicine for years and everything had been easily managed but then I had to see a cardiologist about these spikes. As the month progressed my condition worsened. I was spiking to stroke level blood pressure many times a day even with my regular meds and a temporary 'emergency' pill. One day at school I became disoriented and had a lot of pain in my chest and down one arm. The school nurse insisted that I should go to the ER to be checked out. After a few hours of observation I was released with an admonition to rest and check the blood pressure frequently. The bill for that afternoon is over a thousand dollars and not one that I can afford, even in payment options. I need Modest Needs help with this bill.
Your assistance with this medical bill will allow me to be free from the harassment from creditors and will help clear up my credit score. But mostly it will give me peace of mind that my debt has been cleared, so that I can resolve my anxiety about the situation.
