Missed Work Due to Medical Issues: Single Mother Needs Help with Rent
My Story:
I am a single mother and my daughter is eight years old. She is in the fourth grade. I just recently completed my associates degree in social work. My daughter is very energetic, she loves outdoor activities like cheering, and basketball but, loves swimming most of all.
I have been gainfully employed at my job for almost five years since November 2013. I earn enough to maintain all of my bills but, recently I have had some medical issues that had me out of work for about a month in February (on FMLA) and I missed work over the last few weeks. Due to trying to catch up my bills from the month of work missed in February and due to the smaller paychecks from the days missed these past few weeks, I was not able to pay my rent for September yet. I need Modest Needs help to catch up.
Even though I have a great payment history with my rent (I have been residing here for five years), I fear that if I am not able to pay my rent, my daughter and I will be evicted. As of September 10, 2018, I was cleared to go back to my regular duties at work. This funding will help to get all of my bills current and since I am now back working full time, I can attempt to start saving again.
