Married Veteran Needs Rental Help After Newborn's Medical Costs

My Story:

I am a married father of a beautiful baby girl. She was born five months ago and changed our lives forever. Previously, my wife and I had multiple miscarriages and a very difficult time conceiving. We are so grateful for our bundle of joy. I work as a teacher and my wife has an on-line job that brings in some money while she cares for our girl. We love to go for walks and point out the world to her...trees, birds, etc.

We barely scrape by each month with our living expenses, and unfortunately we're living paycheck to paycheck for now with no savings. We recently moved for work and to place us in a lower cost of living area. With the birth of our daughter, the medical bills overwhelmed us. To add to our stress, she developed an infection when she was only 2 weeks old and we had to take her to the ER. At first we didn't pay the ER bill, then they threatened to send it to collections. Paying the ER bill has put us in a very stressful and unexpected financial bind. We are asking for Modest Needs help with our Rent.

This payment will bring our household current with one of our most important bills and help us regain a sense of stability. The summer months are the most difficult for teachers as there are no classes to teach and income effectively drops to zero. The little savings that we build up were used for medical bills. Your assistance would have a long-lasting impact on our family and give us a wonderful story of hope to share with our daughter one day. We'd love to be in a position to help others in the future ourselves. Thank you so much for your consideration.
