Couple Needs Help With Past Due Rent After Assisting Adult Daughter With Autism

My Story:

I am a married mother of a beautiful daughter, Alyssa. Alyssa is 23-years old and on the Autism Spectrum and struggles with Anxiety. We also have two furry daughters, a calico cat named Patches and a white lab named Angel. I work full-time as an IT administrator and my husband is a full-time machinist for the defense industry.

We earn enough to pay for our basic expenses every month, but we tend to live paycheck to paycheck. We had no savings set aside because we have been helping our disabled daughter who has had some major personal and physical challenges over the past year. We had to pay for her to stay in a hotel for days, as she was in between housing. Because of this, we have fallen behind on our rent. We need Modest Needs' help to pay for our rent, which is one month behind.

This funding will bring our household current on the rent again, and restore our sense of stability. My husband has been able to pick up some hours at work, which is giving us a chance to finally put money in our savings account for future emergencies, and Alyssa has been approved for her own apartment and now has the opportunity to live in stable housing, so, she can concentrate on working on her physical health problems and future goals. Your help would make a long-lasting impact on our family, and it would restore hope and faith in humanity. We would like her to see that people can truly make a difference in the lives of others; so, in the future, she will be willing to pay it forward and help others in need as well.
