Family Needs Utility Help After the Loss of Their Mother-in-Law
My Story:
I am a married father with an infant daughter who will soon turn one. My elderly mother-in-law lived with us until September of last year when she passed away suddenly. I work full-time and I am currently the sole provider for my family.
We recently moved and moved my mother-in-law in with us. We were able to afford our apartment based on her income and my income. When she passed away suddenly this caused a severe financial burden on our family. We also incurred large expenses for her funeral. I am currently earning just enough to pay basic expenses every month and I need some help catching up from this situation. I need Modest Needs� help with our BGE bill.
We recently received a turn off notice for the full amount due. I am worried that our power will be cut off in the next few weeks if I am not able to pay the turn off notice. This funding will allow me to get back on track with my finances and not have to worry about my family not having heat during the winter. If we can make it through the next few months, my wife plans on going back to work. Once she is back to work, our long-term financial situation will be much more stable. This funding could truly get us back on track to a stable life for us.
