Please Help This Mother of Two Keep Her Home After Husband's Relapse
I am a married mother of two wonderful kids. My 13-year-old daughter is very energetic loves gymnastics. My 19-year-old son is in college and majoring in computer science engineering. Both are amazing, extraordinary, and courageous kids. I work full-time as a Hospice CHHA taking care of hospice patients. My Husband is a 100% disabled, Honorably Discharge Veteran who was diagnosed with PTSD.
We earn enough to pay for our basic expenses every month, but we tend to live paycheck to paycheck. We had no savings set aside when my husband after 3 years of recovery, recently had a substance abuse relapse. Unfortunately he had to separate from our home which was completely disappointing as well as unexpected and he has not returned home. This left our 2 kids and I to survive on just my income. I also got laid off from job. I was able to find new employment quickly but being suddenly left by my husband and this gap of employment left us in a bind. We need Modest Needs' help to pay for our rent payment. We are worried that we could eventually lose our home if we do not get on track with our rent.
Your help will bring our household current with all of our bills again, and restore our sense of stability. I will be receiving VA compensation very soon. With my new job and these benefits I will then have 2 sources of income and be able to start a savings. Your help would make a long-lasting impact on our family. We would like for our kids to see that people like you can truly make a difference in the lives of all Veteran families, and use this as our inspiration to help others in return. In advance I thank you so much and feel so blessed for your support.
