Our Vehicle Is Unsafe To Drive Without Repairs And Our Life Will Fall Apart Without It.
My Story:
My husband and I have been married for 24 years. We have three children. Our oldest no longer lives at home, but we have one adult child who still lives with us due to circumstances beyond his control, and one minor child still in high school. All three children are talented artists. Our oldest is a photographer, our middle child a musician, and our youngest an artist. Last year, my husband suffered a work-related injury which resulted in nerve damage. Because he was working for a friend, as an independent contractor, he was not able to make a Workman's Comp claim. After being a good provider for our family, he is not able to work. Since my husband's injury, I am the sole provider. I make enough to cover our basic expenses, but not enough for emergencies.
Our truck did not pass when we took it in for inspection. We rely on our truck for transportation, getting to and from my husband's doctor appointments, and to take our trash to the waste management sites in the county where we live. The truck is dangerous to drive. We need Modest Needs' help getting it fixed.
Your aid will mean a lot to us. It will keep us from having to spend what little grocery money we have on the truck repair. We'll be able to continue working and going about our daily life. It's so frustrating to work so hard to rebuild our lives and to have this expense threaten to derail all of that. A hand up from the kind people at Modest Needs will let us keep climbing.
