My Story:
I am a single mom of one 20-year-old college student. He attends an out of state school. He just finished his sophomore year (majoring in History Education) with a 4.0 GPA and has made the President's List for the past 3 semesters. He is drum major for the college marching band and teaches drum major camp and band camp during the summer when he is home.
I earn enough to pay my basic expenses each month but live paycheck to paycheck. My son's father is $10,000 behind on child support so that is another obstacle. My son's vehicle broke down on his way home from college last week and had to be towed. I also had to rent a vehicle to pick him up because I currently do not have a vehicle. I need Modest Needs' help to pay my rent. I had to use the rent money for towing, parts and repair, rental car and gas. If I do not make this payment, we will be evicted. I have no one that I can stay with and we will be homeless.
Your help will allow me to make my rent payment and continue my lease. It will get me back on my feet and restore my sanity. You will make a long-lasting impact on my family and allow me to provide a stable life for my son, who is stressed and worried right now. This will allow him to continue his education so that he can become a teacher who makes a difference in the lives of children. Thank you for your help during this trying time.
