I am a Single Mother of a Little Girl. Please Keep Our Lights On So I Can Keep My Job.
My Story:
I am a single mom with an amazing 6 year old little girl. She is my everything and my desire to create a better life for us is what drives me to push forward through whatever obstacle is in my way. She is almost done with first grade and is a bundle of energy and laughter. We spend a lot of time being silly together with our 2 dogs and cat. I work full time to provide for us.
The past year has been extraordinarily rough on both of us; we lost my mom who was our rock in May of 2017. We have had to move twice since then. Just when I thought we were through the worst of it, I lost my job. I just accepted another job offer so we just have to make it until I start getting paid. Unfortunately, the electric company won't give me an extension to make it that long. We are so close to being on our feet! I've exhausted all of the local resources making sure rent and other needs were covered though so I'm really stuck in a bind. I am asking Modest Needs for their help with my electric bill, which must be paid by May 21st or our service will be disconnected. Because I will be working from home with the job I accepted yesterday, being disconnected would also prevent me from being able to work.
This funding would not only keep our electricity on, it's the difference between a full blown crisis situation and a manageable hurdle. With your help, I will be able to start working as soon as possible and we will make it until my first check. It is very much the difference between finally achieving stability or literally losing everything. Please help us.
