This person has left the following thank you note:

User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeI cannot thank you enough for choosing to help me in my time of need. I worked so hard to try to keep myself afloat, working 12 hour days multiple days a week sometimes just to keep all of my pets fed and it still just wasn't adding up. Without your help I would have lost my home and quite possibly some of my animals. They are my whole world and I don't know what I would have done if I had to give them up. After posting my request for help things got a little harder for me as well. One of my ferrets dislocated his shoulder and wrist and cost me another $400. I also lost one of my jobs due to almost all of the kids moving on to kindergarten. Your help couldn't have come at a better time and I am so, so grateful. Your help has literally saved me.

They Saved My Dog's Life But The Bills Could Put Us On The Street

My Story:

I live alone aside from my pets. I was a student studying biology before I had to leave school for personal reasons. I have a beautiful dog I adopted named Hank and he is one of the best dogs I have ever had. I also have two wonderful ferrets, a ball python and a bearded dragon. I work two jobs, both with young children. I am a preschool teacher and a tumbling instructor. I am trying to go back to school and finish my degree. This is hard as I am so behind on my rent,I can't afford to cut back on work to make time for school. I love my kids but I want to be able to pursue my dreams of working with animals.

One day I came home to find the floor outside my dog's cage covered in blood and vomit. I pulled my dog out and rushed him to the vet. After spending two nights and three days there and having multiple tests done we came to the conclusion that he had gotten into some kind of pesticide somewhere. I take him with me when I take out the trash and I believe that's where he got into it. The vet bills were due immediately and I used my rent money to pay for it.

By helping me get caught up with my rent I would be able to stay in my home and not be put out with all my pets. I would also be able to save up enough money that I could cut back on work and finish my degree. Once I finish my degree I can get a higher paying job that I will be much happier with and also be able to help support my boyfriend in going back to school as well. We both would be much happier and would be very appreciative.
