Help Single Mother Finalize Divorce After Domestic Violence
My Story:
I am a single month caring for my two children, 10 and 5 years old. My son is diagnosed with Autism. I am a full-time caregiver for him and supplement my income working part-time. I am also a full-time student. We have a registered service dog for my son that is part of our family.
At the end of the semester my car broke down and I had to pay over $1500 out of pocket in repairs. My ex has stopped paying child support and I am paying legal fees for a high conflict divorce. I left the marriage three years ago due to domestic violence and we have been in family court ever since. It's been very expensive. I am asking for assistance paying a portion of my lawyer fees so that my divorce can be finalized.
This funding will help pay a portion of my incurred legal fees so that my attorney can assist in finalizing my divorce. My ex has hidden income and refuses to pay for shared expenses of the kids leaving us destitute.
