Single Mom And Teacher Struggling After Her Car Was Stolen
My Story:
I am a divorced teacher of two elementary school students. My 11-year-old daughter is very smart and loves dancing and my 8-year-old son loves football. Both children love the outdoors and enjoy school very much. I work as a full-time 2nd grade teacher.
I earn enough to just pay for the basic needs every month, but I do live paycheck to paycheck. My car was stolen a few weeks ago and its part of a homicide investigation I am told. I was forced to purchase a vehicle out of my own pocket. This is my only means of transportation and getting my children around. I didn't want to lose my teaching job because that will eventually result in me being behind further on my rent. I had been paying co-workers and friends to give me a ride.
I need Modest Needs' help to pay my rent which is late and accumulating late fees. I am unable to pay the rent after paying a down payment on a replacement car. This funding will bring my rent current and allow me to finish paying for a used vehicle. I am working on my teacher certification which would allow me to get a small increase in salary once completed. This funding will also allow me to keep my teaching job and not be replaced due to absent days at work.
