This person has left the following thank you note:

User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeAs trite as it may sound, really words cannot express how thankful I am for all of your help! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has put myself through college while raising my son on my own, and it has never been an easy road financially. I have worked full time and put my efforts into being the best mother I can be, and have always felt I come up short in one way or another, with all of the roles to fill. We had many obstacles and challenges, and when it rained it poured. I am so proud of my son for going to college himself, and that he is getting great grades into his second semester! I never expected that my profession wouldn't pay enough to get by (eventually, they say it improves), or that I would come up so short financially as I transitioned him from home to college. As a middle-aged mom, I had no family to turn to for assistance. Your help has truly given me a hand up, and supports my constant message to my son that it 'takes a village to raise a child.' I will definitely follow in your footsteps and contribute when I am able, to pay it forward. Yours truly, Cleo

Single Mom Behind On Car Payment After Buying Tires

My Story:

I am a single mother of an 18-year-old freshman in college. He is a music major, is absolutely wonderful.

I earn enough to barely pay the bills before he left for college. I am just starting a new job and things should get better in a month! But during this awkward in between time, I had to buy new tires as well as some unexpected college related expenses. I need help with my car payment. If I get too far behind I will lose the car and my means to get to work.

This funding will help me to get back on track with my bills again. My new job pays well, and my first paycheck is coming soon. Thank you for helping me get past this bump in the road.
