This person has left the following thank you note:
Words honestly cannot describe how thankful we are to have been blessed with your kindness and generosity during this particularly difficult time. When I received the email saying my grant had been funded, a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. This is the best Christmas present I could have asked for. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Single Mom Of 2 Needs Help After Unexpected Car Repair
I have 2 children, a 10-year-old son and a 13-year-old daughter. I am recently divorced and moved from Iowa with my husband at the time. I work full time as a direct care professional for people with disabilities and I love my job. We enjoy taking drives to the mountain's when the time allows.
It has been extremely difficult for me to get ahead as I am living paycheck to paycheck. Unfortunately, I make too much for any assistance. I haven't recovered from an unexpected car repair. Due to this, I have not been able to pay my electric in full and it's on the verge of being shut off. I have reached out to all other agencies in hopes to get some relief but have had no luck.
The help from this grant would not only give me the peace of mind knowing my electric will remain on, but will allow me time to save up money for the next month. Since this hardship, I have picked up another part time job to supplement my income. My goal is to find more affordable housing in the meantime so we can spend more time as a family rather than my working every day just to pay rent and bills. I would love to be able to give back at some point as well.
