This person has left the following thank you note:

User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeThis has been one of the toughest years of my life. But the challenges that I've endured have made me stronger as a person, mother and woman. I am still trying my best as a hard working woman and as a single mother. I am in tears as I write this because I really didn't know what I was going to do and felt my back against the wall with still being threatened by eviction. I am so thankful that there are people in this world who are as kind and as generous as you. There is still hope for humanity in this world. From my son, myself and my unborn son (I'm 33 weeks pregnant now) thank you so much for helping us in our time of need. Thank you and I wish nothing but peace and love to you.

Missed Work for High Risk Pregnancy and Child had Surgery: Need Rental Help

My Story:

I am a single parent to a wonderful and helpful six-year-old little boy. I am currently 27 weeks pregnant. I work full time on a military post as a laboratory technician. I hope to finish a degree in nursing in the next two years. My son is my little helper and does what he can to help his mommy. He is in the first grade, he loves to play with cars and trucks. He likes soccer, basketball and is taking an interest in karate.

I earn enough money to barely make ends meet for my son and me, but live from pay check to paycheck. I am having a high-risk pregnancy and I have to take a lot of time off from work to make doctor appointments. I don't have enough paid sick time and I am often forced to take leave without pay. In addition, my son has had surgery on his intestines and I had to stay at the hospital and at home with him for two weeks. This has caused me to miss more work.

My son and I need help to pay our rent, which is one month late. We are facing eviction and I am seeking help so that we don't get put out on the street. This funding will help keep my son and I in our home. It will also allow me to begin catching up on my bills and to gain stability in my finances with my home. We thank you so much for the consideration.
