I cannot begin to tell all who have donated to help myself and family, in our dire time of need, how much this means to me. I did not know where else to turn to keep my 'head above water'. Being a single mom, just trying to pull myself up by the bootstraps, I am careful to ensure that all of our financial needs are met. However, some things like a sudden break-down of my car is beyond my control. It brings tears to my eyes to know that there are people out there who are so caring, that they would open their wallets to a complete stranger in need. Single Mother of Two Desperately Needs Help With Car Repair
My Story:
I am a single mother of two beautiful, talented, children. One is an aspiring basketball player and drummer, and my 5 year old is an aspiring ballerina.
I've just graduated and received my Bachelor's degree this past July. Before then, I would receive a monthly stipend for my studies. I no longer receive this. After having to to buy clothes and supplies for my children to return to school, I cannot afford a seven hundred dollar, sudden car repair. My family and I live in a suburban area, where one must have a car to survive. We are not even within walking distance of the nearest grocery store. I need Modest Needs help with the cost of this repair.
I fear that my other choice is to skip a car note and utility payments for a month, which will place me in a bind next month. This funding will leave our monthly budget intact, which is now extremely tight. It will also alleviate the extreme, financial stress I am under with birthdays and Christmas around the corner. This help is badly needed to keep us in a stable, financial position.
