User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeJust when I thought things could not get any worse....this happened. I checked my email and the answer to my prayers was there. The tears started to flow, but this time they were tears of joy. My family and I thank everyone. Every stranger that decided to put someone else's needs before their own. Everyone who decided to put my family needs before theirs. This blessing will help our family so much. From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for this. To Modest Needs we thank you for caring. The world still has good people in it. Thank you for showing us they still exist. Thank you everyone your kindness and love are very much appreciated. -Margarita W.

Help Hardworking Family of 4 Get Back On Track

My Story:

I am a married mother of 2, a 3 year old boy and an 8 year old girl. My daughter is in 3rd grade making honor roll. My son loves walking his sister to the school bus in the morning. My husband works full time as much as possible to make ends meet. Sometimes working 60+ hrs a week to.

We moved to MD with family. The plan was to share a big house for 2 years and save up to try and buy a house. 7 months in, our family decided to break the lease to save money for their growing family, leaving us a month and a half to uproot our family and find another home. We took the first deal we could normally afford, but because we used everything we had saved and the paychecks leading up to the move we spent it all. We had just got another car after losing the 2nd one and that was an extra bill only to find out we have less than 2 months to move. We have always lived paycheck to paycheck and it has worked, but this hiccup really threw us off. We need Modest Needs help with our rental payment.

If we do not get help, we will get evicted and we have nowhere else to go. We have had a really tough time with me getting laid off last year and losing 2 cars in 1 year. We just really need a blessing. We would be so grateful and appreciative for just a little help. Not only will this get us back on track, I will be able to look at my kids and not feel like a failure to them. We will be able to pay our bills on time with no problem. We just need a hand.
