Testimonial

This person has left the following thank you note:

Words can not adequately express the gratitude and humility that my family and I feel for your GREAT act of kindness. We are soooo thankful and grateful for people in this world that have such a beautiful, sweet, and compassionate spirit. Truly your act of graciousness has impacted my family in ways that you will never, ever really comprehend. It was more than just a monetary gift, but your willingness to help others in need is truly a testimony of how God uses people to bless others hear on this Earth. I am certainly humbled and thankful for your gift. It will go immediately to help us get back to where we need to be. Immediately. You have NO IDEA how you have been a major impact in helping me and my family recover from seemingly endless, unfortunate circumstances. Because of your kindness and generosity, I am looking forward to being a donor myself. I can not thank you enough for your sacrifice, time, and willingness. My family and I appreciate you and will NEVER forget how God used you to bless us. Thank you...thank you...thank you... may God continue to shower his blessings on you and your family. Thank you so much!

Family of 5 Needs Car Payments After Lay off

My Story:

I am a married father of 5 children, 3 beautiful girls and 2 boys. My Bride and I have been married for 15 years. My older two daughters are in college and my 3rd daughter is a gifted artist that is in enrolled in a Arts School that she was one of two students selected from her entire school. My boys are in 5th and 1st grade respectively. The 5th grader wants to be a chef and the first grader wants to be a superhero or Jedi Knight when he gets older.

My job in the local school district was phased out since the district lost (misplaced) 18 million dollars of the public's money. My position was abolished as well as the programs that were serving our students and families. I then had to take on a part time job elsewhere, however it was only a seasonal job. During this time, I have been trying my best to continue to provide for my family. However, we just could not keep up with the car payments. It is the primary means of transportation for my family and I've had to settle for the part time job in order to be able to pick up the kids from school everyday. This was done to relieve an enormous childcare cost. We need the grant from Modest Needs in order to catch up on our car payments that we just couldn't make because of the layoffs.

This funding will absolutely help keep our primary vehicle. The note on the car was actually scheduled to be payed off on this September. This will free up much needed resources that can go to food, utilities, and medical expenses. This will have a HUGE impact on my family in that we will have more to help relieve us from the debt and backwards spiral that we have been in since the layoffs. We are looking forward to getting back to a place of surplus so that WE can be a benefactor to Modest Needs.
