Hard Working Parents of 4 Need Help After Losing Pay
My Story:
I am a married mother of 4 teenage kids. My husband and I have a combined family. He has a boy and a girl and I have a boy and a girl. We both work full time. I work in the office of a warehouse and have been there for 7 years, and My husband works as a Dump Truck/Diesel Mechanic. Our kids are 14, 15, 16, and 17. We have our hands full with a combines family but are very happy and blessed. My son will graduate High School this year, and works part time to pay for his truck, insurance and cell phone. Our 16 year old is right behind him looking for a job, so he can save for his own car as well.
My husband was at his previous job for about 3 years when he was wrongfully terminated on February 7th, 2016. After trying to fight it, he finally was able to secure another job and started back to work April 8th. During work November 18th, I fell at work. I ended up having to have shoulder surgery June 23rd due to the fall. Even though Workers Comp paid for the medical etc, I wasn't out of work over 21 days so workers comp refused to pay me for my first seven days, leaving me without a weeks pay. I'm asking for Modest Needs help in paying one of our car notes. I fear I could lose my car and my transportation to and from work.
Having the help to pay this bill would help us to bring our other bills current to avoid disconnection. This would hopefully get us caught up on everything and help us out of the hole we are in. Receiving help would show me that there are still good people in the world, like myself that are willing to help others when in need. I would like to show others that there is always a way when you have FAITH!
