Medical Bills Are Taking Over Our Lives
My Story:
I am a single mother of two daughters, a 16 year old and 10 year old. They are both cheerleaders and absolutely love it! We have a puppy named Panda. He is the only male in our family, so you can imagine how spoiled he is by the girls. I work as an administrator and I love my job. We are happy little family.
I have been a single parent for 10 years at this point and it has been difficult. This last year, I became very sick and found out that I have a non-alcoholic scarred liver and if I'm lucky, will live for 10 more years. At the same time, I found out that I have gastroparesis. My stomach muscles are paralyzed and I can only eat soft foods. My medical bills are piling up along with regular bills. Sometimes I don't go to the doctor because I simply can't afford it. I try so hard to not let my kids see me this way because I want them to enjoy life and being kids. I need your help paying my largest medical bill so I can stay on top of my mortgage.
If I was to receive this grant, it would help tremendously with my everyday life and health. I could go back to the doctor, my house will be safe, my daughters wouldn't have to worry about getting school supplies. It will give us peace of mind which I haven't had in a very long time.
