Young Teacher Needs Help After Income Gap
My Story:
I am a 29 year old speech language pathologist. I work with students who have special needs in my community as well as in the public school system. I live with my retired parents.
Since February 2017, I left my full time job and the country to volunteer my services in the country of Grenada, which has very limited access to services for students with disabilities. Upon my return, I was able to maintain my part-time position working in the home-health setting. With a number of expenses each month, I usually find myself living paycheck to paycheck, but it never seems to be too much of a struggle. During my time without my primary source of income, I have depleted the modest savings I had and I am unable to pay this month's bills. I have signed my new full-time contract with my local school district and I'm preparing for back to school. Unfortunately, this gap between pay has put me in a financial bind. I need Modest Needs' help to pay my student loan.
This funding will allow me to get current on my bills during this pay gap. I would greatly appreciate the stability it would provide me with. I look forward to beginning my full time position on July 31st and replenishing my savings account for future emergencies, while maintaining future monthly expenses. I would be forever grateful for your generosity and hope to pay it forward one day as I regain my stability.
