User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeThere are no words to express how grateful we are to all of the donors who found it in their hearts to help our family. Thank you so so much! We will no longer take every day things for granted, especially being able to take a shower and doing a load of laundry. We will definitely be paying it forward whether it is some sort of donation or helping in our community. Once again thank you from the bottom of our hearts! The Ravlin Family

Pipes Froze And Burst; No Water To Shower Or Use Washing Machine

My Story:

I have been married to my wife for 14 years, together we have two boys that are 14 and 13. Our 14-year-old son has autism spectrum and plays on the football team and is on the robotics team. Our 13-year-old son plays the violin. Both boys and I are very active in Boy Scouts. I have worked full time at Alamco Wood Products for almost 17 years and my wife does home health care.

We both work very hard and live paycheck to paycheck. We do not live above our means, and we stretch our paychecks as far as possible for bills, car repairs, our kids' activities, and other expenses.

Over the winter, we had pipes freeze and break. Because of that we do not have hot water to our shower and no water to our washing machine. To shower we hooked up a hose and sprayer to the bathroom sink and stand in the tub and wash up that way. Or we go to our family's house to shower. For the plumbers to get to the pipes we also have to tear up our kitchen floor.

This would help us so we don't have to go to the laundromat and that money could be used for something else like groceries. It would feel great to be able to take a real shower again! If you choose to help us we would be eternally grateful to you. Thank you for your consideration.
