Recently Single Mom Needs Hlep to Keep the Power On and the House Cool
My Story:
I'm a newly single mom with a 5 year old son. I work full-time as an Event Planner. My son is my whole world! He attends a local charters school where he's enjoying all things Kindergarten. We spend many afternoons walking and playing in the trails behind our home.
After 18 years with my father's son we have decided to divorce. We both had to move from our last home because neither could afford to stay there alone. Our home happened to have Solar Power and we didn't realize there was a True-up amount that was accruing each month. This amount was rolled over into my new bill when I moved into my own apartment. I only have $75 budgeted each month for SDGE and I truly do not have any wiggle room in my budget or savings to fall back on. I need Modest Needs to help pay the past due balance on my SDGE account so I can get back on track with normal monthly payments.
This funding will help bring my balance back to zero and then I can afford the regular monthly SDGE bill on my own. I've never asked for help before but I really need help with this bill so that my electricity doesn't get shut off, for me and my son. Please help us keep the lights on in this difficult transition period.
