Family Needs Help Catching Up with Car Payment after Moving Costs

My Story:

I am a married father of two wonderful sons. My 7-year-old is very outgoing and loves to be around people. My 6-year-old is more quiet, and likes to hang out with his older brother, who helps bring him out of his shell. I work as a forklift driver at a warehouse and my wife works as a counselor at a pregnancy center.

We earn enough to live from paycheck to paycheck, but encountered a few recent setbacks we need help to overcome. Prior to the holiday, I was able to pick up plenty of overtime at my job, but the opportunity for overtime went away at the beginning of the year, just as we moved to a new residence. The moving costs, along with the security deposit and first month's rent set us back. With no overtime hours to make up for the additional expenses, we have not been able to keep up with the payments on our vehicle.

We are asking for Modest Needs' help to catch up with our car payments. We are now in danger of losing our car to repossession, and have received a letter stating we have to resolve the overdue balance to prevent them from taking action. If we lose our car, we will not be able to go to work and support our family.

Your assistance will put us back on schedule with our bills and allow us to maintain our budget going forward. My wife and I are working hard to build better financial security for our family and plan ahead to avoid situations like this in the future. We would be so thankful to receive this one-time help to get back on the right track.
